2008 Workshops

1-Day Workshops begin at 10:00am and end around 7:00pm.

 

All class and project materials will be provided.

 

Lunch will be served at all workshops.

 

A recommended equipment list and other class information will be sent

to you when your application is received.

 

1-Day Workshop Cost: $45   Must be received 7 days prior to the

class.

 

Baseline School

Native Awareness and Wilderness Living Skills

Primitive Fire Making

April 5th,

June 14th, or

July  5th

     Come spend a day learning to properly build and light fires without matches. You will be creating and learning to use a bow drill fire starting kit that you can take home with you.

Survival Shelter

Oct. 11th, or

Nov. 8th

     Learn what it takes to protect yourself from the elements using natural materials in the wilderness. We will be constructing emergency as well as longer term survival shelters.

Hide Tanning

July 26th

     See the ancient technique of making soft and durable buckskin using the brain tanning method.

The complete process will be demonstrated, and all participants will complete a project to take home.
